Since 2007, Always Promoting Independence (API) has proudly served adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Pinellas and surrounding counties. Our services are offered in group homes, day programs, and community-based settings. We specialize in supporting individuals with varying levels of behavioral needs and are seeking a passionate and skilled Behavior Analyst to join our growing team.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a BCaBA or BCBA who is committed to providing compassionate, ethical, and evidence-based behavioral services. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively across multiple service environments, ensuring behavior plans are implemented with integrity and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct behavioral services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across residential, community, and day program settings.
Conduct behavioral observations and monitor implementation of Behavior Analysis Service Plans (BASP) for fidelity and efficacy.
Train and coach caregivers and support staff on BASP strategies to promote proactive, positive support
Provide ongoing feedback and technical assistance to staff implementing behavior plans.
Collect, graph, and analyze behavioral data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Write, revise, and present BASPs in compliance with FL Statute 65G-4 and submit to LRC as required.
Complete Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and develop comprehensive behavior support plans as needed
Submit accurate documentation, billing, and reports in a timely manner
Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, including psychiatric appointments and support plan meetings
Qualifications
Active BCBA or BCaBA certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
Master’s degree (BCBA) or bachelor's degree (BCaBA) in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field
Experience conducting FBAs, designing behavior plans, and supervising RBTs
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel for in-home or community-based sessions
Level II background screening clearance
Preferred Skills
Bilingual (Spanish/English or ASL a plus)
Experience with Medicaid, insurance-based services
Experience working with diverse age ranges and support needs
