Position Summary

We’re seeking a compassionate and motivated Life Skills Development Level 3 (LSD3) Instructor to join our Adult Day Training (ADT) team.

You’ll play a key role in delivering person-centered training that promotes independence, social inclusion, and personal fulfillment for participants with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities 🎯

  • Provide goal-driven instruction to foster independence and skill development.

  • Facilitate community integration, self-advocacy, and daily living activities.

  • Support clients in achieving meaningful social and personal goals

  • Assist with personal care and behavior support when necessary

  • Maintain accurate documentation—attendance, goal progress, and incidents

  • Support participants while in community-based settings.

  • Collaborate in team meetings and personalize support planning

  • Adhere to all safety procedures and service delivery guidelines.

Required Training

We provide or coordinate training in:

  • Zero Tolerance

  • Direct Care Core Competency

  • CPR & First Aid

  • HIPAA Privacy & Security

  • Person-Centered Planning

  • Emergency Procedures & Crisis Management

  • Medication Administration Awareness (if applicable)

  • Documentation/Data Collection & Incident Reporting

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, in a healthcare, behavioral, or related human services setting.

  • Valid Florida driver’s license & reliable transportation

  • Ability to pass Level II background screening

  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills

  • Willingness to assist with personal care as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in ADT or Life Skills Development program - Not required

  • Completion of some or all of the required training listed above

  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs.
